The stories in this list are being developed with the help of Luxfield's editing and grading services. They are intended to be easy for young people to read, but at the same interesting and, where appropriate, amusing.

The texts are written using vocabulary and grammar that should be familiar to most young readers, but without permitting any distortion of the language into awkward and inauthentic forms.

The intention is that young readers (and readers of any age who use English as a Second or Foreign Language) should be able to cope with the language of these stories so easily that the joy of experiencing written English narrative will grow in them, and even take hold to such an extent that they become regular 'readers'.
